Thunderbolt Through Brittany 2022

 

2AiE are again returning to France - this time to Brittany, following in the footsteps of the 83rd Infantry Division, the 'thunderbolt', around St Malo. 'Thunderbolt Through Brittany 2022', taking place between July 29th and August 6th, follows on from the successful 'Save the Breakout 2019' combat event and like previous trips will place participants in the shoes of an infantryman - this time of the 83rd Infantry Division -  faced by a committed, professional axis force.

Eight days of 24/7, fully-immersive combat will give participants an authentic insight into life as a general infantryman, carrying out the daily tasks of a rifle platoon, including dismounted operations with vehicle support, patrolling (mounted and dismounted), attacks, ambushes, security missions, night patrols, observation and listening posts, and the construction of defensive fortifications.

Thunderbolt Through Brittany 2022 is in the early stages of planning, with the relevant permissions from local prefectures and authorities being sought.
