The Pursuit 2014

August 27th - September 6th 2014 saw 2AiEs latest tour to the Somme valley in France following the route of the 2nd Armored Division in 1944 during 'the pursuit'.

We travelled from Lihons to Bray-sur-Somme, Peronne, Flers and Cambrai, facing resistance from a harassing axis force comprising of a 222 armored car and a Stug assault gun. The Pursuit saw members of many re-enactment groups come together along with other reenactors from Europe and America portraying both Germans and American troops.
